In 2016, small-town man, Doug Bruns from St. Henry bought Ohio Lumber to add to his six other family owned lumber companies in Western Ohio. 

"Ohio Lumber was started in March 1984 and was operated by the Duff Family," said General Manager, Jeff Ramsey. "Then, on Jan. 1, 2018, we bought Mr. Concrete and became Brick and Block." 

With the newly combined entities, Ohio Lumber Brick and Block offers all types of services including, building products, lumber, roofing, siding, windows, brick, block, and post frame buildings. The company employs 18 people who bring a wealth of knowledge and years of experience to serving their customers. 

"We are experienced in every aspect of the building process," said Mr. Ramsey. "We draw house plans and offer installation." 

Their most recent adventure is partnering with the Hauck Family Foundation in building The Linda Laine Hauck Equestrian Center. The Center will be the new home of the Discovery Riders Therapeutic Facility in Zanesfield. 

"We just love the small-town atmosphere," said Mr. Ramsey. "People just know us. Word of mouth is the best type of advertisement we have."
