Bret McFadden, Director of Operations, has been a key part of the team for nearly two years, helping guide daily operations. Chasidee Hamilton, who has been there since the beginning, is now stepping into a full-time Operations Support Specialist role.

In addition to leadership, the company is supported by a team of 23 hardworking cleaning professionals who serve clients daily. Their commitment and attention to detail make it possible for Honestly Clean to deliver consistent, high-quality service across Logan County.

For Misti, there was never a question about where to grow her business. Logan County is home. Honestly Clean has been located in The Main Street Marketplace (130 S. Main Street, Bellefontaine) for the past three years and is preparing for a move to 106 S. Detroit Street, Bellefontaine around May 1st – which they are extremely excited for. No matter where their office is located, their team remains out in the community every day, supporting local residents and businesses.

Honestly Clean offers residential and commercial cleaning services, with a specialty in Airbnb and rental turnovers – an important service in a growing local market. Their ability to manage tight turnaround schedules, along with offering laundry services for out-of-town property owners, makes them a valuable partner for many in the community.

They also stand behind their work with a 24-hour quality guarantee, reflecting their commitment to doing the job right.

What truly sets Honestly Clean apart is their commitment to relationships. It’s those relationships that continue to drive their passion and purpose.

Honestly Clean believes in supporting the community that has supported them, and they make a conscious effort to work with local non-profit organizations. Understanding that budgets can vary, the company strives to provide services that help these organizations continue their important work in the community.

As a member of the Logan County Chamber, Honestly Clean has found valuable opportunities to connect, grow, and give back. For more than two decades, the Bellefontaine branch has carried forward the mission of the YMCA of Central Ohio - to ensure that everyone has access to the resources they need to lead healthier, more connected lives.

Located in Bellefontaine, the facility features a fitness floor, indoor swimming pool, and group exercise studio, offering a welcoming space for residents of all ages. Over the years, the YMCA has become more than just a place to work out - it’s where friendships are formed, families grow stronger, and community members support one another.

Serving a five-generation community, the Hilliker YMCA offers a wide variety of programs designed to meet people wherever they are on their wellness journey. From youth activities to senior fitness programs, the YMCA strives to create opportunities for everyone to stay active and engaged.

Popular offerings include:

Youth sports leagues and swimming lessons

Group exercise classes like Aqua Fit, Strong & Fit, Spin, and SilverSneakers

New programming such as Yoga, Dance Beats, Iron Teens, personal training, and stroke lessons

These programs not only improve physical health but also help build confidence, friendships, and lifelong habits.

Many people may not realize that the YMCA is a nonprofit organization committed to accessibility. Through its scholarship programs, the Hilliker YMCA ensures that financial barriers never prevent someone from participating.

In 2024 alone, the YMCA awarded $22,459 in scholarships, and that number grew even higher in 2025. The impact of these efforts can be seen across the community:

4,800+ members served

75,000+ visits to the facility in one year

300+ youth participating in sports programs

99 children learning to swim last year

These programs are critical in helping young people gain life skills, build confidence, and stay safe in the water.

The YMCA team believes that a welcoming environment is essential to creating a positive member experience. Recently, the facility has undergone several improvements, including:

Installation of new treadmills, dumbbells, benches, and bars

LED lighting upgrades to brighten the fitness center

Expanded class offerings to meet evolving member interests

The response from members has been overwhelmingly positive. “Seeing and hearing the joy our members get when they walk in and notice the improvements is one of our greatest joys,” shared the leadership team. “The experience starts with our people, and we have the greatest crew in Logan County. I’ve seen and heard so much that I can now bring to the Y to better serve our neighbors. I’m really looking forward to working with teams across Central Ohio to keep making the Y a place where everyone belongs.”

With this leadership and renewed vision, the YMCA continues to expand its impact and strengthen its role as a community hub.

Looking ahead, the YMCA is preparing for Healthy Kids Day, an exciting community event coming up this April. This family-focused event promotes healthy lifestyles for children and offers local businesses an opportunity to engage with families across the community.

One way businesses can participate is by donating an item for the Healthy Kids Day silent auction. Companies may contribute an item that represents their brand or purchase a unique item to donate. All donations will be prominently displayed and acknowledged during the event.

In appreciation for their support, participating businesses will have the opportunity to promote their brand at the YMCA during the event, with space available to display materials, interact with attendees, and connect directly with community members. By partnering with Healthy Kids Day, businesses help raise essential funds while aligning their brand with a positive, family-centered initiative focused on the health and well-being of children.

The YMCA’s success is driven by a passionate team of staff members who are committed to serving others—from lifeguards and instructors to membership specialists and facility staff. His hard work and dedication earned him an internship at VOSS Village Olds/Cadillac/BMW in Centerville. Following graduation with honors, Dave was recruited into the prestigious BMW STEP Program, attending Ohio Technical College in Cleveland and becoming a BMW Certified Diagnostic Technician.

That certification led him to Dreyer & Reinbold BMW in Indianapolis (the oldest BMW dealership in North America) where he spent nearly ten years honing his skills alongside some of the best technicians in the industry. Even with a successful career in a high-level dealership environment, Dave never let go of the dream of returning home and opening his own shop.

That dream became reality in 2012, when Dave and Katie moved back to West Liberty and opened Solomon’s Garage in a rented section of an old machinery shed on Dave’s family farm. Those early days were challenging, but Dave always found a way to persevere. Despite the obstacles, business grew steadily, fueled by hard work, determination, and strong community support.

After four years, the opportunity arose to purchase the former Firestone tire shop at 122 S. Detroit Street. With help from The People’s Savings & Loan Co., Solomon’s Garage moved off the family farm and into downtown West Liberty. Over the past decade, the business has continued to reinvest, remodel, and expand, growing into an eight-bay, 6,600-square-foot facility that now anchors a thriving section of downtown.

Along the way, Dave and Katie have been supported and encouraged by family, friends, neighboring business owners, the Ohio Small Business Development Center, and industry coaching organizations. One lesson has remained constant throughout their journey: in business, you must always be learning, growing, and challenging yourself to reach the next level.

Today, Solomon’s Garage is best known for its expertise in modern automotive electrical systems and European vehicles, but the team proudly provides complete diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services for all domestic, Asian, and European cars and light trucks. After working at Kirkmont and being inspired by the Smithers family of Rollicking Hills Farm Camp in DeGraff, the Wileys purchased a 75-acre farm that was for sale – and the rest is history.

The land itself holds an even deeper story. Long before the farm camp opened, the area was home to Wyandot and Shawnee tribes, including Chief Tarhe’s Wyandot village, which once stood where Zanesfield is today. Legendary frontiersman Simon Kenton also made his home in the valley. The Wileys chose the name Marmon Valley Farm in honor of the Marmon brothers, first settlers in 1805, two of whose homes remain on the property today. If you haven’t heard the story straight from Wrangler Matt himself, you’re going to want to put that on your Marmon Valley bucket list.

From its humble beginnings, the camp has expanded to encompass 650 acres, now spread across what were once three neighboring farms. The Louden farm, first purchased in 1964, became the stable area and center of camp life. Over time, the Wileys added the Thompson farm in 1970, creating more riding trails, sleeping quarters, and a dining hall.

In the early years, Marmon Valley Farm welcomed campers into the Wileys’ own home. Activities initially focused on farming, gardening, and small animal care, but the introduction of horses quickly became the centerpiece of the experience. By the mid-1970s, the camp’s mission took on a deeper focus, with Uncle Bill and Aunt Phyllis integrating the gospel of grace through Jesus Christ into all programs – a mission that continues to this day.

Today, visitors can enjoy trail rides, pony rides, hayrides, a petting zoo, riding lessons, birthday parties, field trips, retreats, and seasonal events throughout the year. From mother-daughter weekends to church group retreats and scout outings, Marmon Valley offers countless opportunities to unplug, connect, and make lifelong memories.

Coming up this season, Marmon Valley Farm is excited to host two standout community events that perfectly capture its spirit of faith, fun, and family. On Saturday, November 8, the farm will welcome runners for the Horseshoe Hill Climb – featuring 5K, 10K, and 20K trail runs designed to raise money for summer horse camp scholarships. These scholarships make it possible for children from economically challenged families to attend camp and experience the joy of horses and the outdoors. The race course winds through 500 acres of Marmon Valley’s breathtaking landscape – hardwood forests, ravines, meadows, creeks, and scenic overlooks – offering runners a true backcountry adventure. It’s the perfect challenge for trail enthusiasts. For those who want to support the cause without hitting the trails – “Team Wrangler,” led by Wrangler Matt and his family, is welcoming sponsors for their run to help raise funds for the camp scholarships.

In December, Marmon Valley Farm will once again come alive with the warmth and wonder of A Country Christmas, held December 6–7 and 13–15.
