Choice Properties has been chosen as the Business of the Month for July. 

Dale and Teri Frymyer’s love for real estate started in May of 1999 while looking for a waterfront home at Indian Lake. It was during the house hunt that they decided they wanted to sell real estate in their spare time. 

“We had spent a lot of time at Indian lake as kids and we knew we would love Logan County,” said Teri. “We were living in Atlanta but were anxious to get back to family in the Lima area. Dale was hired at Honda and Logan County seemed to be the half-way point.” 

Karen Frymyer, Dale’s mom, had been in real estate for many years and joined in on the dream to start a real estate company. Karen and Teri are both licensed brokers and Dale is a licensed agent. Choice Properties provides a variety of services including residential and commercial real estate services, free notary services and free faxing services.

Choice Properties has realtors who have been current and past recipients of the Ohio Association of Realtors President’s Sales Club, along with many other awards. Choice Properties has also been featured on HGTV’s Island Life in seven different episodes. 

“HGTV called the office,” said Teri. “We actually thought it was a hoax at first.” 

Sales at Indian Lake have spiked since the episodes have aired. There is still one episode that has been filmed but hasn’t aired yet. 

“It takes about five days to shoot each episode, but there is a lot of work that goes into it, prior to the filming,” said Teri. “We have to find homeowners that currently have their home on the market that are willing to allow their home to be featured on television, knowing that their home may not be the home that is chosen to be purchased. I think all of the shows have featured Indian Lake in such a positive way.” 

Since joining the Logan County Chamber, Teri says she has made many friends, business associates and has learned so much about Logan County and the other businesses throughout Logan County.
