​Stembles Meat, located at 18 State Route 273 in Belle Center, has been a staple in Logan County since 1973, serving as a trusted butcher shop and custom processor for over 50 years. In 2022, TJ and Brandie Rose purchased the business with a vision to continue its legacy while expanding its impact for local farmers and families. Today, Stembles proudly operates as a full-service custom butcher shop for local farmers and 4-H families, processing cattle, hogs, goats, and sheep with personalized care for each order. Their team works closely with producers to provide high-quality, consistent cuts of meat, packaged to exact specifications. Stembles also offers a variety of smoked products, sausages, and freezer-ready bundles.

​As demand for retail options beyond the processing floor grew, so did the Roses’ vision. In August 2024, they opened The Butcher & Market in downtown Bellefontaine as Stembles’ sister store – a neighborhood butcher shop and farm stand all in one. Especially known for their premium steaks, flavored patties, and welcoming small-town butcher shop feel, the storefront – located at 214 S. Main St., Bellefontaine – offers:

• Hand-cut steaks, chops, and roasts
• House-seasoned chicken and flavored brats
• Deli sandwiches made fresh to order
• Beef sticks, summer sausage, and jerky
• Meat bundles for easy meal prep
• Local grocery staples including eggs, milk, cheese, honey, and more!

​The team proudly cuts and packs nearly everything by hand, in-house – every sub, steak, and brat. Even the sandwich meats are sliced fresh each day. It’s where the hard work of local producers meets the needs of everyday families.
