Chamber Choice Checks – Sponsored by Citizens Federal Savings & Loan
With no extra cost, the Chamber Choice program is great for the Chamber member business who is redeeming the certificate AND the individual who is purchasing it because it means all dollars are kept local! Chamber Choice Q&A:
What is a Chamber Choice Check?
Essentially, it’s a blank check that can be used like cash at participating Chamber member businesses. This gives the recipient the freedom to choose where to spend their gift and also supports our local economy.
Where can I use a Chamber Choice Check?
You can use your check at any current Chamber member business that will accept them! Included with each check is a list of popular places to use it, including local restaurants, retailers, salons & spas, and more. You can also check out the Member Directory on our website for more places to use your check.
Are there additional fees to purchase Chamber Choice Checks?
If you pay by check or cash (which we prefer!), there are no additional fees. We are also able to accept payments using Venmo (new this year!); there is a 2% transaction fee on top of your Chamber Choice Check total if you opt to pay using Venmo.
How can I purchase Chamber Choice Checks?
Simply call the Chamber at (937) 599-5121 to place your order over the phone. If you plan to order more than 10 checks, please contact Amanda in advance by emailing [email protected]. Please remember to bring cash or a check with you as payment if you wish to avoid additional fees! There are plenty of ATMs at downtown banks if you need cash.
I am a business – how do I accept a Chamber Choice Check as payment?
Treat the Chamber Choice Check like any other check. If a customer has a Chamber Choice Check valid for more than the amount of their purchase, please accept the check and issue them the overage in cash or store credit. For example, if a customer buys a $5 item and gives you a $10 Chamber Choice Check – accept the $10 and give them $5 back in cash or store credit. Please let the customer know how you intend to issue their remaining balance before you complete the transaction. Lastly, deposit the Chamber Choice Check in your bank account just as you would with any other check received at your business.
I have more questions about Chamber Choice Checks. Who should I contact?
Call the Chamber at (937) 599-5121 and any of our staff can help you. Amanda runs the Chamber Choice Check program in our office and can answer your questions via email, as well.
*If requesting re-prints of 10 or more checks, we do charge 50 cents per check.
