    Education Station

    March 2013
The Logan County Area Chamber of Commerce would like to recognize Education Station as March's Business/Entrepreneur of the Month.

Education Station is celebrating being in business 30 years this year. When Education Station opened in June of 1983 they opened mainly as a "Teacher Store". Over the years they have gradually added much more in the way of toys, games, puzzles, etc. , along with a complete line of teaching materials.

The business was initially opened at 116 S Main Street, Bellefontaine and in 1998 owner, Bev Goff, purchased the former Wolfheim's building from Henry Weize at 136 S Main Street, Bellefontaine, more than doubling their space. Currently Education Station has a staff of 4; Bev Goff, owner, Myra Suman, who has been with the business 28 years, Becky Larson, and Jessica Crum. Bev was born and raised in Logan County and taught at Indian Lake Schools prior to opening the business.

Education Station is not just for schools and children. Many of the games they carry are great fun for two or more adults to play. They carry puzzles from 3 pieces to 1500 pieces. They can special order books of many types, not just children's books. They also offer many decorative items that are great for churches, offices and stores.

One thing the employees of Education Station pride themselves in is good old fashioned customer service. They enjoy helping people find the perfect toy for their three year old grandchild, or a great game to play with their teenagers, or the right workbook to help improve their fifth grader's math skills. They greet you at the door, walk with you to the shelf and show you the items that will meet your needs. They know their inventory and are able to show you how to play a game or use the product.

Education Station has been a member of the Logan County Area Chamber of Commerce for 28 of their 30 years in business. Being a member of the Chamber helps keep them connected to the local business community. Bev feels it is important that they work together with other businesses to keep Logan County Strong.
