Safety Links

The Division of Safety and Hygiene provides comprehensive information on safety issues and the site contains a safety library, forms, brochures, publications, course listing for their training center and links to other sites.

The Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation site provides first report of injury form, a listing of certified health care providers and information on the Bureau and its services.

Everything you wanted to know about the  Occupational Safety and Health Administration including OSHA regulations, standards, publications and training. Site includes comprehensive library of safety issues.

The Ohio EPA site includes EPA regulations on hazardous waste, air emissions, VOCs and toxic releases, brownfield initiatives and the Offices of Pollution Prevention and Energy Efficiency.

The Department of Commerce and BUSTR (Bureau of Underground Storage Tanks Regulations) regulate underground storage tanks, respond to hazardous materials incidents and provides training in the areas of medical emergencies, fire prevention and confined space.

The Attorney General's Office provides information on employment law and environmental law including, newsletters and recent court decisions.

The Air Quality Development Authority provides assistance to companies in improving air emissions and operates the Clean Air Resource Center.

The Industrial Commission resolves issues arising from workers compensation claims. The site provides information on the Commission and its actions.

Ohio Department of Transportation

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI)  administers and coordinates the U.S. voluntary standardization and conformity assessment system.

Ohio Department of Health

Center for Disease Control serves as the national focus for developing and applying disease prevention and control, environmental health, and health promotion and education activities designed to improve the health of the people of the United States.

U.S. Food and Drug Administration

The National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) mission is to reduce the worldwide burden of fire and other hazards on the quality of life by providing and advocating scientifically-based consensus codes and standards, research, training and education.

National Safety Council

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) is the federal agency responsible for conducting research and making recommendations for the prevention of work-related injury and illness. NIOSH is part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the Department of Health and Human Services.

The Ohio Emergency Management Agency is the central point of coordination within the state for response and recovery to disasters. The primary focus of the agency when not in a response or recovery mode is to ensure that the state, and the 11 million citizens residing in it, are prepared to respond to an emergency or disaster and to lead mitigation efforts against the effects of future disasters.

Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) works in partnership with other organizations that are part of the nation's emergency management system.
