Annual Golf Outing Sept. 10 at Cherokee Hills Golf Course.

You are invited to participate in the 23rd Annual Logan County Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing sponsored by Embarq at Cherokee Hills Golf Course, Bellefontaine.

This annual scramble gives you an opportunity to meet other Chamber members in a relaxed and fun atmosphere while supporting a long-standing community organization that works to help businesses grow. By the way, the cost of participating in the outing has been at the same price since 2001. Has the price of anything else been the same for the past seven years?

When registering a team, please indicate flight preference (morning tees off at 8 a.m., afternoon tees off at 1:30 p.m.)

Format for the day

• Choose a morning (8 a.m.) or afternoon (1:30 p.m.) flight.

• Morning golfers receive breakfast from Bob Evans (sandwiches, fruit, coffee, juice).

• Lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the clubhouse for all golfers and volunteers helping with the outing.

• All golfers receive two beverage tickets. Water on the course is free thanks to the generous contribution of National Salt Distributors.

• All golfers receive a gift for participating in the outing.

Ways to participate

Sponsorships are a great way to advertise your business or organization. This premier golf event is attend each year by more than 250 people who are in someway associated with the Logan County Area Chamber of Commerce. Overall Sponsor

• Always up for something new this year, we tried our hand at finding an overall sponsor for the golf outing. Dave Reed from Embarq agreed to take on that challenge and was the sole person who responded to the offer that was made available. If your business would like to be the overall sponsor for next year's golf outing, please contact Rebecca Marker-Smith at the Chamber at 599-5121.

• The cost is $650 and includes major advertising along with registration for a four-person team. This package also includes 18 holes, two carts, two beverage tickets and two meals for each person, and a skin for a skins game. Major advertising includes name in the program provided to each golfer and a golf-ball shaped sign placed with your company name and/or logo is placed on the course.

• You either sponsor one or two beverage carts used during the outing (one on the front nine, second one on the back nine). The cost to sponsor one cart is $300 or $500 for both. Please provide a color logo to be used for the sign showing your sponsorship on the vehicles.

• For $100, a sign with your company name and/or logo is placed on the course at either the tee box or the green. If you want to be more active, you are welcome to "man" your hole with either giveaways or by greeting the golfers as they come to your sponsored hole. If you would like for us to use your color logo, there is an additional charge of $25 for the sign. Please e-mail your color logo to ramarker@logancountyohio.com.

• The cost to place a team in the outing remains at the price of $250. This fee includes carts, two meals and two beverage tickets for each player and the team is entered into a skins game. Please indicate your preference of the morning or afternoon flight.

Prizes

Prizes are awarded for each flight to the top three teams: First place team

• $400 in Chamber Choice Gift Certificates

• $200 in Chamber Choice Gift Certificates

• $100 in Chamber Choice Gift Certificates

• More than anything, we want you to have fun, enjoy the time with your Chamber friends and make more Chamber friends.

Good time had by all at last year's outing

It was a perfect day on Sept. 12 for the annual chamber golf outing in 2007. No ruined walks at Tree Links that day!

That day was the 22nd annual event that is the largest fundraising event for the Chamber. Without it, the chamber would be forced to raise your dues and drive up participation costs for services such as "Chamber Chat."
