As a member of the Logan County Area Chamber of Commerce, your membership pays off in more ways than one. In addition to the opportunities you will have to connect with information and with other business people, you can take advantage of programs that are for Chamber members only. At the Chamber, our goal is to encourage local growth and support of our area businesses. We offer the following programs and benefits:
- Chamber Choice Gift Certificates -- Available in denominations of $5, $10, $20, $25,and $50. These popular gifts are welcome at more than 100 member businesses. Anyone may purchase the certificates year-round. Contact the Chamber for information or to have your business placed on the "Participating Member" list that accompanies each certificate sale.
- Business After Hours -- This "open house" type event is hosted by member businesses or organizations, from 5 to 7 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month. All members are invited to drop in and mingle with familiar faces make future contacts. Upcoming events are announced via invitations, the "Voice of Business" newsletter, "Chamber Chat," and Chuck Chamber reminders.
- Seminars -- The Chamber holds seminars at various times throughout the year. If you have a topic of interest that you would like addressed, please contact the Chamber.
- Membership Directory Your business appears in at least two areas of the annual directory: by business category and alphabetically. The directory is given free to Chamber members.
- Publications -- As a member, you are entitled to free copies of local maps and membership guides. We produce and distribute brochures and booklets promoting Logan County living, tourism, and Leadership Logan County.
- News -- Keep abreast of membership benefit programs, events, business information, and committee and council activities by reading the bi-monthly newsletter, the "Voice of Business" and the bi-weekly e-mail/fax "Chamber Chat." Members can utilize the newsletter to advertise and promote their business for a nominal charge. It is a great way to get the word out about what you do.
Discounts for Business Owners
The following is a list of benefits from other companies who are Chamber members. For many of these programs, employees of member businesses or organizations may also take advantage of these programs. For more information on these programs, please contact the Chamber.
- Health Insurance-- The Logan County Area Chamber of Commerce health partnership plan with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield involves local doctors and Mary Rutan Hospital and other surrounding hospitals. Chamber member insurance agents provide information and service the plan. Click here for a list of the local agents.
- Help Wanted -- Chamber member employers can place detailed job listings on the Internet at no cost and for a certain length of time through GreaterDaytonWorks.com. It can be accessed by typing www.greaterdaytonworks.com. GreaterDaytonWorks.com is partnership program with DPL Energy.
- Worker's Compensation Group Rating Pool -- Administered by Compensation Consultants Inc. (CCI), this pool has saved member businesses hundreds and thousands of dollars off their Worker's Compensation Premiums. Download
